چکیده
The supported transition metal oxides, chlorides, carbides, and so forth (MXn), represent an important type of catalyst for redox processes. MXn–support interaction, analogous to metal-support plays a critical role in reactions. Herein, we illustrated the nature monolayer CuCl2–γ-Al2O3 its catalytic consequence induced by support facets ethylene oxychlorination. Kinetic theoretical studies, combined with operando spectroscopy demonstrated effects interaction between CuCl2 various exposed γ-Al2O3 (110) (100). Al2O3(110) shows better performance high activity, selectivity, stability. (111) facet deactivated rapidly, dichloride (EDC) selectivity decreased 30%; while activity on was much higher, EDC can be well kept at >99% long-term stability test. multi-scale in-depth characterizations revealed concept chloride–support determining performance. We believe this method tuning reactivity active species manipulating their coordination surfaces as ligand shall spark inspiration other applications.

Oxidation of Ethylene to Ethylene Oxide by Selenium Modified Silver Catalyst
Oxidation of ethylene to ethylene oxide over silver catalyst and selenium modified catalyst has been studied by continuous flow and pulse techniques over the temperature range of 230-280 °C. The results are discussed in terms of reaction mechanisms proposed by others, rejecting mechanisms which involve peroxide formation. It has been shown that not only selectivity towards ethylene oxide pr...
متن کاملNaphthalene hydrogenation over Pt/TiO2–ZrO2 and the behavior of strong metal–support interaction (SMSI)
Vapor-phase naphthalene hydrogenation over various supported Pt catalysts was studied in a continuous fixed-bed microreactor. Experimental results indicated that the catalytic activity of the catalyst strongly depended on the nature of the support and the pre-reduction temperature. Reaction order was independent of the support as the reaction was pseudo-first-order with respect to naphthalene i...

Hydrothermal liquefaction (HTL) of microalgae Nannochloropsis (NAS) over various transition metal M/TiO2 (M = Fe, Co, Ni, Mo, and Mn) was investigated. Ni/TiO2 was the most effective catalyst to improve the yield and quality of biocrude and the liquefaction conversion. Ni/TiO2 was characterized by XRD, XRF, and XPS. The research of Effect of reaction temperature on HTL of NAS over Ni/TiO2 sugge...
متن کاملStrong metal–support interaction as activity requirement of palladium-supported tin oxide sol–gel catalyst for water denitration
Two nanocrystalline palladium-supported tin oxide catalysts for water denitration were synthesized by a modified sol–gel technique using appropriate chloride precursors for both support and active phases, and citric acid to tune the rate of hydrolysis and condensation. The difference among sample preparation procedures refers to the moment of the noble metal loading to the support, as well as t...
متن کاملCopolymerization studies of vinyl chloride and vinyl acetate with ethylene using a transition-metal catalyst.
Since the advent of Ziegler-Natta polymerization of ethylene, attempts have been made to extend coordination polymerization to commercially important monomers with polar functionality. In this study we examined the copolymerization of perdeuterated vinyl chloride (VC) and perdeuterated vinyl acetate (VA) with ethylene using a tridentate Fe(II) dichloride pyridine diimine metal catalyst. The res...
